I Whip My Hair…

Posted in Beauty on January 29, 2011 by miaamber

I get lots of emails asking me about my hair.  It’s no secret that as an industry professional, I often wear hair extensions and weaves in order to protect my natural tresses.

My hair of choice? Wagman Hair. I find that their extensions blend the best with my own hair and the longevity of the extensions is unmatched by any I have worn in the past.

If you decide to try Wagman, please tell them I sent you and use coupon code Mia Amber RC4321 at checkout.

Happy Shopping and let me know what you think!

XOXO,

Mia

*UPDATE!!*

So sorry for not mentioning this the first time but the Coupon Code is good for FIRST TIME shoppers of Wagman’s AND via phone orders only.

Sorry for any confusion.

Khloe’s Struggle

Posted in Get Fit Not Thin, Hollywood on January 29, 2011 by miaamber

Khloe (my favorite) Kardashian has spoken out publicly about her life long struggle with weight and how the opinions of others have affected her throughout her life.

“My weight is always going up and down. I’m always fighting that, and I feel like no matter what I do, I never look good enough to everybody else…”  “…but that’s been a struggle that I think I’ve gotten a hold of, not caring what other people think. Now I just have my body to how I like it.”

“Other people’s words eventually do come and hit you hard,” she says. “My weight is my biggest lifetime struggle. It’s not the biggest thing in life, but it does get you down sometimes.”

Khloe released all inhibitions in her new spread in YRB magazine styled by the mags Fashion Director, Darius Baptist.

(I’m SO proud of you Darius!)

I think I love this editorial so much because Khloe seems to be branching out on her own.  What do you think?

This morning, in conjunction with Plus Model Magazine, I appeared on NBC’s 10! Show in Philadelphia to host a segment on plus size fashions. We had such a great time showcasing designs from JMS, Ashley Stewart, City Chic and Monif C. Plus Sizes.

Models Jese Gary, Jeannie Ferguson, Shanna Sharp (AKA Red Velvet Glamazon) and SallyAnn Thibdeau were absolutely gorgeous and made my job super easy!

If you missed the show CLICK HERE to watch our segment.

Thank you 10! Show for having us! Let’s do it again…soon!

Love, Loss and What I Wore

Posted in Entertainment, Loves It! on January 25, 2011 by miaamber

This past Sunday afternoon my friend Susan treated me to the theatre to see the memorizing, “Love Loss and What I wore.”

I had heard about the play many times but never knew much about it.  Basically, it’s a series of short, personal stories as told by women in a way that creates a glimpse into the lives of the storyteller as well as the recipient of the tale.  I felt connected to so many of the characters. All I can say is it was amazing!

The show currently starring Alexis Bledel, Judy Gold, Anita Gillette, Pauletta Washington and the scene stealing Nikki Blonsky has a rotating cast of women and this is the 17th configuration of this well-oiled production.

I enjoyed it so much that I would definitely see it again with the next cast.

Love, Loss and What I wore is currently playing at NY’s Westside Theatre as well as in Sydney and Paris. Take a girlfriend, sister or your mom and GO!

Thank you Susan for an incredible experience!

XOXO,

Mia
